I really love what Marc Jacobs said backstage at the Louis Vuitton show! For Louis Vuitton's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection that he chose to showcase a mixture of older women, younger women, thin and voluptuous, mixed ethnicities - just beautiful women who love to dress up in beautiful, classy, 1950s-esque dresses, each accented by a petite handbag by her side. The dresses were a throwback to the midi-skirts of yesteryear, but they all managed to not feel too vintage because of the modern touches like fresh color combinations and an unusual mixture of fabrics like fur with knits and tweed with velvet.
And oh goodness, how I looove seeing Laetitia Casta strut her curves down that runway. I personally think she is the most beautiful woman in the world.
"I wanted a variety of ages and sizes. We set out to cast gorgeous women, women who feel happy to put their make-up on, get dressed up, get all their accessories."
"It's a bit old-fashioned, I know, but I think it's nice for a change."
"Designers are always saying they're going to do a collection for women, but then every girl on the runway (catwalk) is under twenty," Marc Jacobs said backstage
